January 2017 – Women’s Golf Roundup

January 2017 has already kicked off with a BANG for the women’s team. A sign of things to come?

Ivon Reijers wins Copa de Andalucía Femenina 2017

In mid-January, Ivon Reijers made 6 birdies in the final round and playoff to win the Copa de Andalucía Femenina at the Atalaya Golf & Country Club in Málaga, Spain. Her final round 69 was the best of the day and got her into the playoff with overnight leader Carmen Laguna Ortiz.

Reijers shot 69-77-69 to take home the title.

Aces Up

Megan Thothong got into the action with a hole in one of the 12th hole of the Members Course at the Golf Club of Houston. It was the superstar’s first ace ever!

Building a foundation

And the women’s team also announced a fundraiser at Top Golf in Webster. Two-time LPGA Player of the Year Stacy Lewis Chadwell will be a special guest at the event.
